  • Effective treatment both during and after wearing braces

How Early Decay Becomes a Cavity

Cavities develop when the bacteria present in plaque generate acid, which then erodes the minerals in your enamel through a process known as demineralization.

HEALTHY TOOTH ANATOMY

Enamel: The outermost layer of the tooth crown and the body's hardest tissue.

Dentin: Provides support to the enamel and shields the pulp.

Pulp: The innermost vital part housing blood vessels and nerves.

Cementum: This layer is affixed to the jaw by ligaments.

Initially, cavities form beneath the tooth surface and may eventually become visible on the surface. At this stage, they can be reversed with treatment using Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus.

If untreated, cavities advance through the enamel, penetrating the dentin and leading to discomfort. This progression results in a deep cavity, necessitating treatment through drilling and filling the tooth.

How it Works

Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus is directly applied to the cleaned surface of the early carious lesion and left to dry for five minutes.

Following a single application, Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus precisely targets the affected area. The process is straightforward. Over several weeks, the unique CUROLUX® formulation and application procedure facilitate the penetration of minerals, such as calcium and phosphate from saliva, into the enamel surface. Lost enamel is remineralized and strengthened.

Initial improvements are noticeable within approximately 90 days. While one application is typically sufficient, Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus can be reapplied at 3-6 month intervals.

Treat White Spot Lesions While Braces are On

During orthodontic treatment with braces, bacteria can accumulate around brackets and along the gumline, frequently leading to the formation of white spot lesions. These lesions, known as early caries, can be addressed before they escalate to a size requiring a filling. Utilizing a patented formula, enamel remineralization occurs without causing pain or compromising tooth structure. By remineralizing early carious lesions, patients can circumvent the need for potentially painful and expensive restorative procedures in the future.

Early Decay to Remineralization
